Hyatt Regency Aruba
Hotel Information: This contemporary Hyatt Regency resort faces Palm Beach, one of the island’s best beaches for water sports and sunbathing. Thatched shades shelter lounge chairs arrayed on the soft sands. Guests, primarily families and celebrating couples, are welcomed into a long, breezy lobby with limestone and shellstone tile floor, wood-paddle ceiling fans, stainless steel chandeliers, and chaise lounges and rattan armchairs.
Insider tip: Macaws, Amazon parrots, and a black-and-yellow toucan with a giant Technicolor beak are scattered throughout the central gardens. Most are housed in cages, but an uncaged, raucous choir of macaws enlivens the pool scene.
This Aruba Hyatt offers 360 guestrooms in a sand-colored, U-shaped complex with one nine-story wing and two four-story wings. All have pool, partial-ocean/pool, or partial-ocean/garden views. The property completed guestroom renovations in November 2007.
32-inch LCD TVs include U.S./international cable channels. Ceiling fans provide an alternative to rooms' air conditioning. Each king room has a shower while each queen guestroom offers a bathtub. Portico bath amenities are provided. Modern decor features furnishings with clean lines, accent colors, crown molding, and pastel artwork.
